| V.3.0.0 Miscellaneous |
With the massive expansion of activities introduced in V3.0, there
were also a few software glitches that came through as well.
Hopefully these have all been addressed with V3.1.
Users should upgrade to V3.1. This will also provide a large
component of additional audio introduced for V3.1. To upgrade
from a previous version you will need to:
1. Upgrade your executable with the new patch and
2. Add the additional audio files to your system

you will need to also download the additional Sound and Instruction

'Young Einstein Mathematics' Free upgrades are available to all
existing licensed users. |
| Registration Key does not unlock
the software |
Check your spelling of the 'User Name'. Registration 'User Names'
and 'Serial Keys' are not case sensitive but
all spaces and punctuation marks must match. No hyphens should be used
for the serial key, only digits 0-9 and characters A-F |
| All modules are locked |
The license has expired or the software has detected an attempt to
clock the system date backwards. Check your system date. |
| I have a licensed version but the
Software has expired. |
For most products, the software and license are date sensitive.
Check your system date and correct if necessary. Attempts to bypass the
license period by backwards dating the system clock can lead to the
software being disabled and requiring a call to our helpdesk to reset
parameters. There is a fee associated for resetting software locked by
system date clocking. |
| No data in the student history or
no reports available. |
Make sure you have enabled results logging in the 'User
Settings' configuration screen. |
| Can not save settings or
configuration parameters. |
Normally associated with school network
installations. Permissions not appropriately set/granted by the network
administrators. Also experienced by, Multi users on Windows
platforms with restricted profiles set up for children. The
'C:/Program Files/Einstein'
directory needs to have write permission for all users in a home
environment. Check your security/Sharing options |
| How do I upgrade my software. |
If you are currently
running the same version, but an older patch/update date, then you will
need to replace your current 'Einstein.exe' with a new one
downloaded from our web site. Click on the following link to
download the patch and guide you to installing it.

older version number, (2.x or previous) then you will need to install the new version.
New complete versions can
also be obtained on CD media at a cost of $10.00 to cover media and
postage.

| I can't read the documentation |
The documentation is
supplied in Acrobat Reader .PDF format. 'Acrobat Reader' needs to be
installed on your PC. It can be freely
downloaded from the internet and is also supplied on the shipped CD
|
| How do I ??? |
The software comes with extensive documentation in the form of a PDF manual
on the CD. This covers a very large
range of topics and issues. The file on your CD is called 'Einstein
Documentation' There is also our
online manual. |
